Indie authors are rising in respect and reputation in this country. Their stories touch the lives of millions. Putting words on "paper" isn't the dilemma they face. Even getting their words out there isn't as hard as it used to be.
What is difficult is getting a cover that best represents their work and doesn't look cheap. The biggest problem indie authors face is creating something visual for their novel that not only grabs the attention of a reader, but depicts the flavor of that book exactly, so that the consumer can get a feel for that book. We are here to help eradicate this problem.
As an author you want to put your best foot forward...and we want to help you do that...personally. With Baum Book Designs you get to actually talk to the designer and work with them on the design of your book's cover. No filling out a form and "hoping for the best." Not only does BBD work with you to create a JPEG/TIFF/PNG for the e-copy, but we also will create what is needed for you to see your work in print. We design not just the front, but the back cover, and the spine as well, so that your work looks as professional as those who are published through Random House, Penguin, and so forth.
Consultation is FREE. Price for cover creation depends on hours spent on the work itself. Usually a book design will run between $200 to $400, depending how many changes are made and how difficult the cover is to begin with.

A) What genre you write (be it fiction or non-fiction)
B) The sub-genre of that (ie: Fantasy, Science Fiction, Self-Help, etc.)
C) What you are looking for (be it a simple JPEG for e-books or a PDF front/back/spine for Createspace's printed book, both, etc.)
D) Let us know if this is a rush order (there may be an increase in fee if the turn around is less than two weeks). We are skilled at working with deadlines and understand not all design jobs have months to be created.
BBD also designs bookmarks, postcards, and business cards to whatever dimentions you require for the website you are using to have them printed. Plus, we not only design posters and banners for your convention needs, but print and ship them to you as well.
